Around 1952,Sam`s Truck Stop was established by Sam Leverton. Open 24 hours, the business thrived on truck drivers wanting a good home cooked Kentucky meal.

Over the years, Sam`s Truck Stop has evolved into a family restaurant and is better known as Sam`s Restaurant.   In the early 90`s a new  Sam`s was built next to the original building. Owners, Kevin and Cindy Tipton, have been proprietors and running Sam`s for over 20 years.

Today, Sam`s Restaurant is well known to the local population for its good quality, well proportioned Kentucky home cooked meals. Their original recipes, homemade cream pies and salad dressings, have earned a loyal following. If you want to take a pie home for the holidays, you need to order early because the pies are in such high demand they sell out quickly.
